New Grads, Life Members, and Active Duty Military
First of all, congratulations on reaching this milestone! Same year graduates from an accredited veterinary school do not need to pay dues until the following year renewal cycle. Likewise, life members (age 65 or older, and who have paid active dues for 20 or more years) don’t owe dues – and your account will not need to be renewed annually.
Active duty military: in appreciation for your service, your dues are waived while you are on duty in Hawaii.
Instructions
Because you do not need to pay dues, your registration process will be a little different.
- Go ahead and create your account (unless you already created a username and password for hawaiivetmed.org).
- Choose either “Life Member,” “New Graduate,” or “Active Duty Military” under membership type.
- After you submit your registration, ignore the PayPal button. You are done. You will receive an email with your login credentials, but your eligibility will need to be reviewed by the Membership Committee before your account access is fully activated. This may take several days. You can check on your status by emailing membership@hawaiivetmed.org.
Life members, we can alternatively create your account for you once your status is verified.
